Richard Gray
Richard Gray was born in Kimpton in 1896, son of Frederick, baker and grocer, and Annie Maria Gray and baptised there on the 31st August.
In 1911 the family were living in Walkern Road, Stevenage.
Richard gave his residence as Holloway when he enlisted in the Rifle Brigade.
He was killed in action on the 31st July 1917
He is also listed on the Kimpton Memorial, but it is currently uncertain as to why he is listed on the Welwyn Memorial
